Energy Star Designation
The buildings located at 2011, 2121, 2231, 2345 and 2451 Crystal Drive have all achieved Energy Star Designations by the US Environmental Protection Agency. Energy Star is a government-backed program helping businesses and consumers protect the environment through superior energy efficiency.
Energy represents approximately 30 percent of the typical building’s costs and is a property’s single largest operating expense. Energy Star-qualified buildings generally use up to 40 percent less energy than typical buildings. Building owners earn the Energy Star by scoring in the top 25 percent on EPA’s energy performance rating system, based on actual energy use.
